Freelance Writers of the Philippines presents: OpenBook

What is OpenBook?
by: Ime Morales

There are authors who would love to reach out to their readers and talk to them about their creative process, the story, the characters in their book, the thrill of getting published, their fears and apprehensions.

And there are readers who would only be too willing to sit in the same room with these authors and pick their brains, or sometimes, to just sit and share light banter over a few beers.

Freelance Writers of the Philippines launches OpenBook, a live conversation between authors and their readers. It happens every first and third Fridays of every month at Conspiracy Garden Cafe on Visayas Avenue, with special OpenBook “editions” in Yuchengco Museum, RCBC Tower in Makati. OpenBook is all at once a chitchat, signing event, photo op and impromptu jamming.

Both established and first-time authors will be given equal opportunity to talk to their readers. Lineup for future (and past) OpenBook sessions include: Samantha Sotto, Bebang Siy, Tweet Sering, Ricky Lee, and Joel Toledo.

Join us in Conspiracy from 6pm to 9pm. Yuchengco schedules will be announced before they happen.
